Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Written to be read.
This policy covers the Algorika public website (https://www.algorika.com) and the Algorika application (the “Platform”). Algorika provides trading infrastructure software to traders and firms; we are not a broker and do not hold client funds or securities.
1. What we collect
Account data
Name, email address, mobile number, organisation, role and the authentication credentials you set for the Platform. If you are invited by a sub-broker or organisation manager, that organisation supplies your name and email to us.
Broker connection data
When you connect a broker account (for example Zerodha, Upstox, Kotak Neo or Angel One) we store the access tokens and session identifiers the broker issues, the broker client ID, and where you opt in, a TOTP secret used to complete the broker’s daily login. Broker passwords are never stored. Tokens are encrypted at rest and scoped to your account.
Trading and portfolio data
Orders, fills, positions, holdings, margins, strategy subscriptions, baskets, alerts and the market data you subscribe to. This is the working state of the Platform and is required to operate it.
Operational data
IP address, device and browser details, timestamps, and an audit log of every outbound request the Platform makes to a broker on your behalf (the broker request register). Where a static-IP remote executor is provisioned for you, the assigned IP addresses are recorded in an IP ledger.
Website data
Pages visited, referrer and approximate location from server logs. The public site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are read; that sets a first-party analytics cookie. We do not use it for advertising or sell the data. The request-access form collects the details you type into it.
Social platform data
Algorika publishes to its own LinkedIn Company Page and X account. Tokens for those accounts are used only to publish and moderate Algorika’s own posts. We do not collect data about other LinkedIn or X members through those integrations.
2. Why we use it
- To operate the Platform: place, modify and cancel orders you or your strategies request.
- To reconcile positions and orders against your brokers.
- To enforce risk controls: capital and loss caps, trading gates, kill-switch.
- To send transactional messages: OTPs, invites, alerts, statements.
- To meet regulatory and broker requirements, including IP pinning and audit trails.
- To secure the service and investigate abuse.
- To respond to your request-access or support message.
- To understand which public pages are useful, using Google Analytics.
3. Who sees it
Your brokers receive the orders you send. If you belong to an organisation on Algorika, that organisation’s managers can see your orders, positions and account status, and authorised operators may act on your behalf. Every act-on-behalf session is recorded. We use cloud infrastructure, email delivery, and Google Analytics as processors under contract. We do not sell personal data.
4. Retention
Trading records are retained for the period required by applicable law and broker agreements. Broker tokens expire on the broker’s schedule and are purged after expiry. Account data is deleted or anonymised within 90 days of account closure unless a legal hold applies.
5. Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, module-level permissions, static egress IPs for broker traffic, and an audit log of broker requests. See Security.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct or export your account data from the Platform, and request deletion by writing to hello@algorika.com. Requests are answered within 30 days.
7. Changes
We will post changes to this page and update the date at the top.
